- Many things in your home, school, work and other places can cause asthma attacks.
- An asthma attack occurs when your airways narrow, making it harder to breathe. Asthma attacks are sometimes called flare-ups, exacerbations or episodes.
- Asthma can be managed so that you can live a normal life.

- You will receive a detailed assessment of your asthma symptoms and triggers by Marilyn Green, Nurse Practitioner or Mary Hopwood, Nurse Practitioner.
- You will learn about your asthma controller and rescue medications.
- You will learn how to correctly use your inhaler and peak flow meter.
- You will receive a customized Asthma Management Plan and materials on asthma and your asthma medications.
- You will learn how to take care of your asthma.
