Granite Medical Group Welcomes New Providers

We’d like to introduce our two new physicians, Dr. Chloeanne Georgia and Dr. Harry Ward. Dr. Georgia is a full-time primary care provider who joined the practice in July. Dr. Ward is a full-time primary care provider and also works with our skilled nursing facility/intensive home bound program. He joined us in September. They are both accepting new patients. Flu Season is Coming

flu shot calendar

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) and CDC urge providers to vaccinate susceptible patients aged six months and older throughout the influenza season. This includes healthy young and middle-aged adults.

There are 3 easy ways for Granite Medical Group patients to receive a flu shot this year.

1) Come to one of our flu clinics

See the schedule here.

2) Make it part of your office visit

Get your flu vaccination during your regularly scheduled clinical visit.

3) Drop in during office hours

Drop in at your convenience. Our lab is open for patients to drop in for a flu vaccination. Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Mass HIway

Mass HIwayThe Mass HIway is a secure statewide computer network that allows healthcare providers to send and access health information in the electronic medical records systems of other care providers where you have received care.

The federal Affordable Care Act established so-called “meaningful use” requirements that are designed to encourage health care providers and organizations to make use of electronic medical records and to gradually build systems that allow electronic medical records to communicate with each other to exchange patient health information with providers involved in your care, whether the care is within our system or at an outside organization.

Mass HIway has been established as the system to help Massachusetts-based providers to achieve that goal in this state. Attached is a fact sheet for patients that provider a useful summary of the Mass HIway and how it works.
