Patrick Carroll, MD as Chief Medical Officer.

Patrick Carroll MD is joining Granite Medical Group as Chief Medical Officer in August 2011. He is a Duxbury, Massachusetts native and is excited to return to the South Shore with his wife Kathleen and 3 children Ryan, Hillary and Erin.

Dr. Carroll comes to Granite Medical with a wide range of clinical and medical leadership experience. For the past 2 years he was employed by the Indian Health Service at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico where he was the Director of Adolescent Health Services. He helped develop and manage 19 School-based Health Clinics on the Navajo Reservation. In addition he worked in the adult medicine clinic and was instrumental in the development of the Patient Centered Medical Home at Northern Navajo Medical Center.

Prior to his time in New Mexico, Dr. Carroll worked for over 20 years as a Family Physician in Concord, New Hampshire initially with the Hitchcock Clinic Group and then at Family Care of Concord a primary care practice under the Concord Hospital physician group. In addition, from 2002-2008, he served as Medical Director at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH developing the school’s health center and wellness programs.

He is Board Certified in both Family Practice and Adolescent Medicine and looks forward to developing a practice in both young adult and adult medicine. He has special interests in Sports Medicine, young adult behavioral health issues as well as diabetes care. During his free time Dr. Carroll and his wife Kathy enjoy mountain biking, skiing and running.
